Paintball / Palmer Pursuit Glass Barrel The PPS glass barrel gun is a demonstration of what goes on inside of the barrel. This is the second gun built like this. I sent the first one to a university for high speed photography, Although nothing ever came out of it. The lower tube is from a Houndstooth. The bolt is soldered directly to the valve area. This is the simplest configuration, Yes I could build a fully functional gun but safety issues prevent that. The glass tube is .688 ID 12" long. The gun is firing on unregulated CO2 with a high liquid content to show the "fog". The first shot from the gun was 390 fps. In the video the FPS is around 300 fps. You can see gas fill up the barrel before the ball moves in the slo-mo section. All I need now is access to a high speed digital camera. More experimentation will follow when time permits.
